🌸 Spreading the Light of Kindness this Diwali at DPS Pataudi
As the festival of lights — Diwali — draws near, Delhi Public School, Pataudi celebrated the true essence of the festival through a beautiful act of kindness and compassion. The school hosted the talented children from NGO Nav Prerna, an organization that supports children with special needs, within its premises on Wednesday, 15th October.
The young guests brought along a vibrant collection of handmade Diwali articles — diyas, candles, decorative items, and festive crafts — all created with immense love, effort, and creativity. These beautiful pieces were displayed for sale at nominal prices, encouraging students and staff to participate in this thoughtful initiative.
✨ A Celebration Beyond Lights — A Celebration of Hearts
The corridors of DPS Pataudi glowed not just with festive colors but with empathy, joy, and shared smiles. Our students enthusiastically visited the stalls, interacted warmly with the children from Nav Prerna, and purchased their handcrafted articles.
Each act of purchase wasn’t merely a transaction — it was an expression of support, encouragement, and inclusivity. The sight of students appreciating and valuing the efforts of these special young artists was a true reflection of the school’s vision: to nurture hearts that care as deeply as they learn.
🌼 Teaching Values Beyond the Classroom
Events like these hold a special place in the ethos of DPS Pataudi, as they go beyond academics to instill essential values of compassion, gratitude, and social responsibility in students. By engaging with the children of Nav Prerna NGO, our students learned that Diwali isn’t just about lights and sweets — it’s about spreading happiness, empowering others, and embracing the joy of giving.
Such experiences encourage children to grow into empathetic, socially conscious individuals who understand the power of small actions to make big changes.
🌟 Together, We Make Diwali Brighter
The entire DPS Pataudi community extends heartfelt gratitude to NGO Nav Prerna for sharing their creativity and warmth with us. Their visit added a deeper meaning to our celebrations — reminding everyone that true light shines brightest when it is shared.
As we step into the festive season, let’s continue to spread love, kindness, and smiles, keeping alive the real spirit of Diwali — the joy of sharing and caring.
